Tia is a homeschool mama of three who grew up in Ka'a'awa, a small town on 'Oahu. She still lives on the island with her husband and their kids, who are the inspiration behind everything she makes.

Sewing became her outlet after she had two babies under two, then three kids under three. She now makes swimsuits in between lessons and the rest of the day. She's been sewing custom suits for years through her Instagram, and our swimsuit collection is her first retail collaboration and her first time making a run of the same design.

Hawaiian culture runs through her work. Tia sources her prints from Hawaiian makers, and her designs are inspired by the beauty around her. She makes suits so people can move freely in the water, especially moms. She wants you to feel secure and covered, even in the waves.

When she isn't sewing or teaching, you'll find her in the ocean. She and her husband are active freedivers, and time in nature is how she recharges.
