Frequently Asked Questions

  • We suggest starting with a pair of short fins, a mask, and a weight belt. Then, once you progress in the sport, you can upgrade to a pair of long fins! It’s handy having an extra pair of short fins lying around later on when you want to invite and inexperienced friends. Never dive alone!

  • Always check the cultural expetations of the area you are visiting. Keep in mind that some countries are more modest than others and it’s best to respect the culture of the country you are visiting.

Besides cultural expectations, it is up to the divers discretion. some divers are more sensitive to nature (jelly fish, stinking plankton, etc.) than other and if you are one of those people, it is best to be as protected as possible. A one piece, play suit, wetsuit, or springsuit are all suitable options to keep you protected. Plenty of people dive in simply a bikini, as well!

Bottom line: it’s up to personal preference. Just keep in mind cultural standards, wildlife sensitivities, water temperatures, and UV protection.
